Hi, my name is Julie. For years, I just felt a lot of anger and apprehension, and I couldn't figure out why. I didn't have a perfect childhood, but it wasn't terrible either. I thought about going to counseling, but I didn't want to sit around and "whine." That idea kept me away for a long time, until one day when I just couldn't shake some issues I was having, and a friend suggested I try a session with her counselor. I have to admit that it was amazing. Just having an open ear to help me sort through what was going on was a salve.
